SEVEN POINT DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME

    Water for Agriculture

  • To make efforts to develop irrigation facilities for undertaking agricultural activities in 30 dry villages of the region.
  • Provide guidance to protect soil from getting eroded and to give guidance for land bunding.
  • To help people in growing horticulture plants on unfertile land and on the small mud dividers between the agricultural fields.
  • To undertake guidance facilities for producing and promoting organic farming and fertilizers.
  • To make check dams on small rivulets in the region. So that traditional system of irrigation can be promoted.
  • To make efforts and guide people in there endeavors to raise the level of water table in the region.
  • To turn the barren hills in the region into green hills.

    Employment Opportunities For Landless People

  • To provide employment opportunities to the poor.
  • To give guidance to people to choose an occupation and help in marketing of there local produce.
  • To help people in marketing and processing of the forest produce.
  • To promote dairy units in the area and make efforts to develop pasture land in the region.
  • To inspire and help people to undertake poultry and goat rearing.

    Youth Welfare Programme

  • To make a list of educated unemployed people in the village.
  • To find vacancies about various job opportunities and inform the youth about these vacancies.
  • To give training and develop a sense of unity among the youth.
  • To provide a platform to the youth to develop their sports and cultural potentials.

  • Nehru Yuva Kendra Jalgoan and Sadguru Physical Education College, Jalgoan would assist SVM for youth development activities.

    Women Development & Empowerment

  • To make efforts to create women awareness regarding issues related to them.
  • To make efforts for development of production capabilities among the women.
  • To give guidance for better health of the women.
  • To introduce women about child health and the process of grooming the children.

  • Bal Kalyani - Mumbai, Kusum Tai Chaudhari Mahila Kalyani – Mumbai & SNDT – Jalgoan would help SVM in its above stated activity.

    Better Education

  • To ensure good residential and qualitative educational facility for the children of the area.
  • To develop positive attitude towards national integration and social work.
  • To make efforts to increase the level of knowledge among both the teachers as well as the students.
  • To work towards development of physical and mental development of the children.
  • To make efforts to build relation between teachers and the society.
  • To make efforts at school level for environment protection and conservation.
  • To develop computer education in the schools of the region.

  • Janta Sikhsan Mandal – Khiroda, Chetna Sikshan Sansthan – Mumbai and Dhanaji Nana Chaudhari Vidya Prabodhani – Jalgaon will cooperate with SVM in implementing these activities.

    Housing

  • To help people in realizing their dream of having a clean and good house.
  • To make houses for poor tribal families of the region.
  • To start activities to develop a sense towards protection of forests.
  • To help people in making houses that would ensure good health.

    Health Improvement

  • To start health education programmes in the villages of the region.
  • To help in provision of the primary health services for the poor.
  • To reduce maternal mortality and infant mortality rate in the region.
  • To take up programmes to maintain child health and family health.
  • To make efforts for success of family planning and family welfare programmes.

  • Foundation for Research in Community Health (FRCH) - Pune and Chaitanya Ayurvedic Mahavidyalaya – Sakegaon will help SVM in achieving the above-mentioned activities.
